Trillanes can post bail anytime — Albayalde

Senator Antonio Trillanes IV can post bail anytime as his capture looms with the issuance of a warrant for his arrest by Makati Regional Trial Court Branch 150.

“Of course, ‘yung warrant kasi niya, ‘yung case niya is bailable (Of course, his warrant, his case is bailable). So the bail is fixed at P200,000. So the senator can post bail anytime also,” Philippine National Police (PNP) Chief Oscar Albayalde told CNN Philippines on Tuesday.

Albayalde however, assured that the police will coordinate with Senate President Vicente Sotto III before conducting the arrest.

“Hindi po ‘yan i-se-serve nang basta-basta papasok ‘yung ating mga pulis,” he said.

Makati RTC Branch 150 ordered Trillanes’ arrest for rebellion over his participation in the 2007 Manila Peninsula siege. /kga
