Citizens collar robbery suspects in Mandaluyong
Two men thwarted a robbery in Mandaluyong City Sunday night by arresting the two suspects.
Police said Joey Paderes and Ronnie Audencial collared Jeffrey Saracanlao, 18, and Ranniel Mamaril, 21, after they allegedly tried to steal a woman’s cellular phone. The suspects were later turned over to the police.
According to the police, Saracanlao grabbed the woman’s phone while she was inside a jeepney along Shaw Boulevard near the corner of Acacia Lane at about 8:10 p.m. on Sunday.
He then reportedly ran off before jumping onto a tricycle with Mamaril. However, Paderes and Audencial saw and collared them.
The two citizens then brought the duo to the office of the Philippine Guardians United Alliance, Inc. (PGUAI), where Paderes and Audencial were members.
