Manila police nab suspect in Islamic Center shooting

Police arrested on Thursday a suspect in a shooting incident on Wednesday morning inside the Islamic Center in San Miguel, Manila.

The suspect, identified as  Hasanor Basmala Lebuna, was nabbed through a joint operation by the Manila Police District Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) and the Palanca Police Community Precinct.

Lebuna allegedly shot a certain Abraham Dimaporo Espinosa, 30, inside the Islamic Center around 9:45 a.m. on Wednesday.

Police said Lebuna was positively identified by a witness.  The victim was rushed to the Chinese General Hospital after the incident.

FEATURED STORIES

A 9mm-caliber pistol, a .45-caliber revolver and a .22-caliber revolver were recovered from the suspect as well as magazines and ammunition.
