Drug suspect slain, jail guard nabbed in Laguna, Cavite operations
SAN PEDRO CITY – A suspected drug pusher was killed, while two others were arrested in separate buy-bust operations in Laguna and Cavite provinces.
Lloyd Pagkaliwagan died in a gunfight with undercover policemen in Barangay Canlalay, Biñan City in Laguna around 1:30 a.m. on Thursday.
The police said Pagkaliwagan, who was included in the police watchlist for drug suspects, died while being taken to the hospital.
In Cavite, the police arrested Ma. Rhodora Villaruz and Martin Panganiban in a buy-bust operation around 2:30 p.m. Wednesday in Barangay Calubcob in Naic town. Villaruz also worked as a jail guard in the Cavite provincial jail, the police said.
The joint operation by the Batangas and Cavite police led to the confiscation from the suspects of 150 grams of suspected shabu (crystal meth) worth P360,000.
