Cebu Pacific restores operations in Tuguegarao
Cebu Pacific on Tuesday restored operations at the Tuguegarao Airport to help in the relief missions for victims of Typhoon “Ompong” (international name: Mangkhut).
“We understand that areas severely affected by Typhoon Ompong need a lot of support and assistance. We consider it of utmost importance to resume flights as soon as possible so we can fly in supplies, resources, and much-needed humanitarian assistance at the earliest opportunity,” lawyer JR Mantaring, Cebu Pacific Vice President for Corporate Affairs, said in a statement on Tuesday.
The airline, including its subsidiary Cebgo, launched one round trip flight from Manila on Tuesday. Another recovery flight, DG6006, is scheduled on Wednesday.
The Tuguegarao Airport canceled flight operations from Sept. 15 to 17 due to Typhoon Ompong in Northern Luzon. /ee
