3 use Valenzuela resort toilet for pot session

Authorities caught three suspects in the act of smoking marijuana inside a resort at Marulas, Valenzuela City, on Sunday evening.

According to a report from Valenzuela City Police on Monday morning, they received a tip that the suspects, later identified as Royette John Pagunsan, 22, from Karuhatan, Valenzuela; Merson Jimenez, 18, from Gen. T. de Leon, Valenzuela; and Abraham Adriano, 31, of Bagbaguin, Valenzuela, were conducting a pot session inside the Villa Martha Resort.

Responding police officers caught the three in a restroom of the resort, seizing a resealable sachet with suspected marijuana leaves, two glass tubes with alleged residue of marijuana, and a green lighter.

According to the police, Pagunsan was on the community drug watchlist.

The evidence were turned over to the Philippine National Police Crime Laboratory at Camp Crame in Quezon City, while the suspects are under the custody of the Valenzuela City Police Station.

Cases for violation of Section 12, Section 15, and Section 11, of Article II of R.A. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 were filed against the suspects. /cbb
