4 fishermen missing off Cagayan waters rescued

MANILA, Philippines – Four fishermen who went missing off the waters of Sta Ana, Cagayan on Monday were rescued, Philippine Coast Guard spokesman said on Tuesday morning.

But a fifth fisherman remains missing and is the subject of search and rescue operations, Lieutenant Commodore Algier Ricafrente said.

Ricafrente identified the missing fishermen as Alejandro Pascual.

In related developments, the Coast Guard also rescued three fishermen  in the sea off Mindoro Occidental and  four fishermen in the waters off Masbate.
