Murder raps filed vs. five suspects in shooting incident in Lanao del Sur

Ililgan City — The Lanao del Sur police filed a case against five persons suspected of killing a civilian and wounding two others around 4:50 p.m. on August 16 in Barangay Bubong Cadapaan, Balindong town, along the Narciso Ramos highway.

Police provincial director Senior Superintendent Ronald Briones, Police Provincial Director said police have identified the five suspects who killed and wounded workers of the Lanao del Sur Electric Cooperative (Lasureco).

“The Lasureco team, they only stopped for a snacks when the shooting took place,” Briones said.

Killed was Abdani Abedin, reportedly the main target of the assailants.

Two others were wounded: Norosihah Maindug, a storekeeper and resident of Bubong Cadapaan, and Cairoden Andar, of Bacolod Kalawi.

“Witnesses said the suspects were on board a green Toyota Revo and fled towards Tugaya town,” Briones said. “The motive of the shooting was an unsettled family feud.”

The wounded have been brought to a nearby hospital. /vvp
