CEBUANO junior cyclist Luis Miguel “Igi” Maximo made a good account of himself in the Tour of Clark as he finished in fifth place in the 10 kilometer individual time trial in the Juniors U-20 class, last weekend at the Clark Freeport Zone in Pampanga.

Maximo, a student of PAREF-Springdale, finished with a time of 14 minutes and 32 seconds and averaged a speed of 41.32 kilometers per hour.

The race was won by Ryan Bravo of 7-Eleven, who finished with a time of 13:30 while Wilfren Arabe finished in second with a time of 14:15. Miguel Gonzales and Kenneth Balunsay were in third and fourth place, respectively.

Making the feat a lot more impressive is the fact that Maximo was one of the youngest in the field and was the lone entry from the Visayas and Mindanao.  /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
