Alleged pusher dead in encounter with cops in Binondo
An alleged drug pusher was killed after an encounter with operatives of Manila Police District (MPD) Station 11 on Monday morning in Binondo, Manila.
According to a report from MPD, authorities were conducting a buy-bust operation against a certain Junjun and a still unidentified suspect along San Miguel Road near Delpan Bridge in Binondo.
The police officers and the suspects exchanged fire, which left Junjun wounded, while his companion managed to escape. Junjun was rushed to the Gat Andres Medical Center but was actually dead on the spot, even before he was brought to the hospital.
One 9mm caliber pistol and two sachets of shabu were recovered from the slain suspect, while investigators also found three spent cartridge cases on the scene of the crime.
The case has been referred to MPD’s homicide division. /vvp
