72% of Filipinos satisfied with Duterte admin — SWS
President Rodrigo Duterte’s administration received a “very good” net satisfaction rating in the second quarter survey of the Social Weather Stations (SWS).
SWS data released late Sunday showed 72 percent of 1,200 respondents said they were satisfied with the performance of the government. This is up by three points from the 69 percent received by the administration in March.
Meanwhile, 15 percent said they were neither satisfied nor dissatisfied, and 13 percent said they were dissatisfied. The dissatisfied went up by two percent from 11 percent in the first quarter.
Subtracting the percentage of dissatisfied from the satisfied, the net satisfaction rating of the government comes to +58, which the SWS classified as “very good.” This is similar to the +58 rating of the Duterte administration in the last survey.
Among those who participated in the survey, participants from Mindanao gave the administration an “excellent” net rating.
Article continues after this advertisementThe survey showed that from +72 rating from the first quarter, the administration rating in Mindanao rose to +76 for the second quarter.
Article continues after this advertisementIn Balance Luzon, the administration’s net rating remained at “very good,” but was +4 higher compared to the previous period.
The net satisfaction also remained in “very good” in the Visayas despite a decrease of one point: +56 in June from +57 in March.
However, the net rating of the government dipped by 11 points in Metro Manila making it fall to the “good” classification.
The survey showed that from +58 in March 2018, the rating dropped to +47 in June 2018.
The survey was conducted from June 27 to June 30 using a face-to-face interview with respondents aged 18 years old and above.
The survey had a margin of error of ±3% for national percentages, and ±6% each for Metro Manila, Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. /cbb
