Supt. Venerando Ramirez, spokesperson for the Camarines Sur police, said it took a while to identify the suspect because they had been very careful in the investigation.

According to Ramirez, the affidavit of witnesses, security camera footages, evidence and the testimonies of the victim’s family helped them arrive at the identity of the suspect, a Roman Catholic priest.  —STEPHANIE M. FLORIDA
