PCOO asks for higher budget of P1.41-B for 2019
Malacañang’s communications department is seeking a higher budget of P1.41 billion in 2019.
The P1.41 billion budget sought by the PCOO is higher than its budget of P1.38 billion this 2018.
Under the proposed budget, the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) and its attached agencies would get P1,416,645,000 in the coming year.
About P642,025,000 was allocated for personnel services, P699,713,000 for maintenance and other operating expenses, and P64,907,000 for capital outlays, the proposal showed.
From the PCOO’s umbrella of units and agencies, the Bureau of Broadcast Services would get the biggest share of the budget worth P378,072,000, followed by the PCOO proper with P354,967,000.
The Philippine Information Agency (PIA) would get an allocation of P319,730,000, while the Presidential Broadcast Staff would get P200,217,000 while the News and Information Bureau would get P117,718,000.
