SANTIAGO CITY – A 27-year-old Indian national was killed by his brother-in-law, also an Indian, inside their rented apartment at Barangay (village) Centro West here on Monday (July 16), the Santiago police said on Tuesday (July 17).

Jundi Singh died from hammer blows inflicted by Surinder Singh, 40, who allegedly tried to burn the remains before fleeing the apartment, said Chief Insp. Rolando Gatan, who heads Police Station 1, which is investigating the incident.

Surinder was immediately caught by policemen who responded to a call from an informant. He had blood splatters on his shirt when he was arrested. Surinder is being interrogated to determine why he killed Jundi. Both men are traders. VILLAMOR VISAYA JR.
