Ex-soldier, woman killed in Ecija road collision

CABANATUAN CITY — A motorcycle rider, who was reportedly an Army soldier, and his female passenger were killed in a road accident on Saturday morning in San Leonardo town in Nueva Ecija province.

The motorcycle carrying Melchor Santos and Susan Martinez was dragged for eight kilometers by a trailer truck, which reportedly sped away, leaving the two riders by the roadside. They were dead by the time the rescuers found them.

No one has come forward with information about the truck as of posting time. /ee
