PDP-Laban warns of fake members collecting membership fees

The ruling party has warned the public about so-called meetings and an unauthorized collection of membership fees conducted by individuals disguising as its members.

“We in the National Headquarters of the Partido Demokratiko Pilipino – Lakas ng Bayan (PDP Laban) have received reports that certain individuals pretending to be Party leaders and/or members are holding meetings which include discussions of a so-called Party assembly and an increase in membership fees,” Ronwald Munsayac, Chair of PDP-Laban’s Public Information Committee, said in a statement on Thursday.

According to Munsayac, the group is led by a certain Rogelio “Bicbic” Garcia and an Abbin Dalhani, who are not authorized by PDP-Laban’s leaders.

He added that people can verify any event with the National Headquarters by calling (02) 264-6111, sending an e-mail to [email protected], and messaging their official Facebook account, @partidoPDPLABAN.

“We ask the public and Party members to beware of these impostors and report their activities to the National Headquarters,” Munsayac said. /je
