Sara Duterte: My dad hates weakness, not women

A social media campaign that was launched against the alleged misogyny and sexist behavior of President Rodrigo Duterte was doomed, presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio said on Wednesday.

In an Instagram post, Carpio said the “BabaeAko” (I am woman) campaign would not succeed because the President was not really antiwoman.

“What he doesn’t like lies not in the gender but in the character,” Carpio said. “He has no respect for weakness.”

The mayor added that what he disliked was a damsel-in-distress attitude.
