INQUIRER.net defers posting of Rodel Rodis’ articles

07:00 AM June 23, 2018

The management of INQUIRER.net on Saturday announced it would defer using articles written and submitted for publication by US-based writer Rodel Rodis pending the outcome of an inquiry on two articles he wrote and published in 2014.

Management is conducting an inquiry on the articles, entitled “The rape of Pepsi Paloma” published on March 5, 2014, and “Was Pepsi Paloma murdered?” published on March 15, 2014.

Senate President Vicente Sotto III has earlier written INQUIRER.net requesting that the articles be taken down from the website, saying the claims and allegations contained there did not happen and therefore are fake news and libellous.

He said the stories have been hounding him throughout the years and that the “unverified articles have been negatively affecting my reputation for the longest time”.

Management has asked Rodis to substantiate his allegations in his two articles.
