Bureau of Immigration (BI) agents arrested a Japanese national in Malate, Manila who was wanted for theft, counterfeiting of private documents and fraud in his homeland.

BI commissioner Jaime Morente on Wednesday identified the fugitive as 49-year old Toshio Hoshino who was hiding in a hotel along Mabini Street. Hoshino was arrested by BI operatives on June 12, Tuesday.

Hoshino was turned over to the BI Legal Division for proper filing of charges and eventual deportation, Morente said.  /muf
