5 fall in Pasig drug buy busts

Police have arrested five illegal drug suspects in a series of buy-bust operations in Pasig.

In a spot report submitted to Chief Insp. Alfred Corpus, Eastern Police District director, the buy-bust operations were conducted in Barangays Pinagbuhatan, Palatiw, and Manggahan on Saturday, June 16.

Two of suspects, identified as Ernesto Beronio 36, and Jonathan Solamillo 31, were arrested in Barangay Pinagbuhatan.

A total of 10 pieces of sachets of suspected shabu were seized from the suspects. The street value of the shabu have yet to be determined by authorities.

Meanwhile, Magdalena Manuel, 45, and Flordeliza L. Griffiths, 44, were nabbed in an operation in Barangay Palatiw.

Five sachets of shabu were recovered from each of the suspects.

Lastly, in an operation conducted in Barangay Manggahan led to the arrest of Rodolfo Marcelo, 46, after selling five sachets of shabu to undercover agents.

Also recovered from the possession of Marcelo was the P200 buy-bust money.

The suspects will be charged with violating Sec. 5 and 11 of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. /cbb
