Malacañang suspended government work in the executive department and all classes in Metro Manila starting 3 p.m. Monday.
“Pursuant to the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction & Management Council (NDRRMC) and expected inclement weather, the Executive Secretary has issued Memorandum Circular (MC) 46 suspending work in the executive department and classes in all levels starting 3pm today (June 11),” Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque said in a statement.
“Agencies of the government involved in the delivery of basic and health services, disaster preparedness, and other vital services shall continue with their operations,” Roque added.
The suspension of work for private companies and offices, he said, would be left to the discretion of their companies and employers. /kga
