A magnitude 4.6 earthquake struck 42 kilometers southeast of General Genoroso, Davao Oriental, on Monday.
According to a bulletin from the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the tectonic earthquake which was earlier reported to be a 5.0 magnitude, was located at a depth of 62 kilometers.
The Monday earthquake was the second movement near Governor Genoroso in two days, as Phivolcs also reported a Magnitude 4.1 earthquake 36 kilometers southeast of the municipality on Sunday afternoon.
Phivolcs said that no aftershocks and no damages were expected from the tremor. /cbb
