Commuters who use the Light Rail Transit line 1 (LRT-1) have a chance to avail a free ride on Independence day.
The Light Rail Manila Corporation (LRMC) said on Sunday that passengers of LRT-1 will have free rides during the rush hours of June 12.
The free rides are part of the commemoration of the 120th anniversary of Philippine Independence, the management said.
LRMC said that the free rides will be available from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m., and from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
The management of the Metro Rail Transit 3 (MRT-3) earlier announced that it would provide free rides to the riding public on Independence Day. /je
