NAGA CITY – Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) personnel confiscated suspected “shabu” (crystal meth) worth P600,000 from three suspects arrested in a buy-bust operation in Naga City Thursday afternoon.
Agents posed as buyers of illegal drugs and made a deal with five suspects in Barangay (village) Mabolo around 5 p.m., according to information from PDEA Camarines Sur.
After the transaction, suspects Jamal Naga, 33, Rasul Mampo Jr., 25, and Nasser Ampuan, 32, were arrested but two other suspects, known only by their aliases “Salamuddin” and “Oding,” fled.
Two plastic bags containing white crystalline substance suspected as shabu were confiscated from the arrested suspects.
According to PDEA, the seized drugs are estimated to be around P600,000 and were transported by the suspects from Metro Manila. STEPHANIE M. FLORIDA
