Pagasa: Rain in Luzon, Visayas to persist due to monsoon, ‘Domeng’
Monsoon-enhanced rain and Tropical Depression “Domeng” will continue to dump rains over Luzon and Visayas, the state weather bureau said on Friday.
Calabarzon, Mimaropa, Bicol region, Western Visayas; and the provinces of Aurora, Bataan and Zambales will experience monsoon rain, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) noted.
The rest of Luzon and Visayas will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain and isolated thunderstorms due to the two weather systems, Pagasa added.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain will likely occur over Mindanao.
Domeng was last spotted some 470 kilometers east of Casiguran in Aurora province. Pagasa said the tropical depression packed maximum sustained winds of 60 kilometers per hour near (kph) the center and gustiness of up to 75 kph.
