The Consultative Committee (Con-com) holds a press conference on Thursday to discuss its upcoming regional presentations and consultations on the draft federal constitution.
It is also expected to tackle during the briefing new draft articles on “People’s Initiative,” “Plebiscite,” and “Referendum” to enable people’s direct exercise of legislative power.
President Rodrigo Duterte created the Con-com to review the 1987 Constitution and draw proposed provisions for a new charter under a federal form of government. /kga
