SAN PEDRO CITY – A man was killed while five of his companions were arrested when the police caught them in a drug session in Batangas City late Tuesday afternoon.
Supt. Chitadel Gaoiran, spokesperson of the Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police, said in a report that the police received a tip that a group of individuals were sniffing illegal drugs in Barangay Sta. Clara at around 5 p.m.
Roselle Javier, alias “Digong,” however, resisted arrest and fired shots at the policemen who retaliated and killed him.
Arrested were Rolly Villano, Jun Mar Magpantay, Charlota Aguila, Domingo Furtaleza, and Oscar Bacierto.
In its initial report, the police said they recovered caliber .45 revolver and a still undetermined amount of suspected shabu (crystal meth). /ee
