MANILA, Philippines—Firefighters have put out a blaze but only after it gutted a four-story building in Binondo, Manila Thursday afternoon, a fire officer said.
The fire, which razed the topmost floor of the Ligaya Building along Alvarado Street in Binondo at around 1:43 p.m., reached second alarm before it was extinguished at 2:35 p.m., said Senior Fire Officer 2 Marson Perez of the Manila Fire Department .
Arson investigators have yet to determine the cause of the blaze and the damage it caused, he said.
No one was reportedly injured in the fire.
