18,000 units of smuggled anti-virus software seized at Manila container port

MANILA, Philippines–Some 18,000 units of Russian-brand anti-virus software declared as CD kit cleaners and CD plastic cases were confiscated at the Manila International Container Port Thursday morning.

Customs Chief Ruffy Biazon said the contraband, which carried the brand Kaspersky Internet Security 2012, was worth at least P75M.

Biazon said the contraband was shipped from Malaysia, addressed to Plinth Entrerprises, Trinity Bldg, Kalaw St., Manila.
