LUCENA CITY – At least three alleged drug pushers were arrested in buy-bust operations in Sariaya and Tiaong towns in Quezon province early Friday.
The arrests of Germonegens Suelto, Roman Cesar Pengson and Glacy Ann Valencia were part of their continuous campaign against remnants of busted illegal drug syndicates in the province, according to Senior Supt. Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director.
Suelto was arrested by anti-illegal drug operatives in Sariaya after he sold shabu (crystal meth) to a police agent in Sariaya around 12:30 a.m.
Pengson and Valencia were arrested in another operation in Tiaong around the same time.
The three yielded less than one gram each, indicating that they were small-time street-level distributors of shabu, in their respective communities.
In Calauag town, another suspected drug pusher, Raymundo Ilag, escaped from policemen who came to serve an arrest warrant. Ilag had left before the police could arrest him in his house in Barangay (village) Doña Aurora at 1:30 a.m.
Authorities seized five sachets of shabu and illegal drug paraphernalia in his house. DELFIN T. MALLARI JR.
