MANILA, Philippines — The prevailing northeast monsoon will bring scattered rains over Northern and Central Luzon, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Atronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Thursday.

In its latest weather report, Pagasa said that Northern and Central Luzon will experience mostly cloudy skies with scattered rainsshowers. Skies will become cloudy with widespread rains over the eastern section which may trigger flashfloods and landslides, Pagasa warned.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies and likewise experience isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, the state-run weather bureau said.

“Moderate to strong winds blowing from the Northeast will prevail over Luzon and Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to rough.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate coming from the Northeast with slight to moderate seas,” Pagasa added.
