Around 36 passengers were reported to have sustained minor injuries after two buses collided on the southbound lane of EDSA near Timog Avenue in Quezon City on Thursday morning.
In a Twitter post, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) said the accident occurred at the service road of Timog Avenue around 7:52 a.m., and jammed one lane of EDSA in the area.
Meanwhile, in a DZMM report, MMDA said that emergency teams were deployed at the scene to respond to the needs of injured passengers. The MMDA also said the accident worsened the traffic flow in that portion of EDSA.
The MMDA Rescue team said they have assisted 24 injured passengers while 12 others were treated by Red Cross. /kga
