Couple gunned down in Batangas
SAN PEDRO CITY – A motorcycle gunman shot dead a couple in Bauan town, Batangas province early Wednesday.
An initial police report said Rizal and Estelita Abante, from Barangay Manghinao, were aboard an L300 van when the gunman shot them several times before escaping around 4:30 a.m.
The victims were rushed to the Bauan Doctors General Hospital but both were declared dead on arrival by the attending physician.

Chief Insp. Alfie Salang, Bauan police chief, said investigation was ongoing.
