4 dead in Bulacan collision

CITY OF MALOLOS – Four passengers were killed on Tuesday dawn (May 29) when two vans and a truck collided at the Plaridel Bypass Road in San Rafael town in Bulacan province.

The truck had broken down, and the driver’s helper was steering motorists away using a flashlight. But two vans sped forward and crashed into each other at 3:30 a.m., before hitting the parked truck driven by Fernando Velasco Jr., said Supt. Rizalino Andaya, San Rafael police chief.

The van driven by Danny Magdayao, 38, was tailing the other van driven by Emiliano Mendoza Jr., when the crash occurred.

Magdayao’s passengers were thrown off due to the impact. Four of them died from the fall. Their identities have not yet been released, while  several other passengers were rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment. Carmela Reyes-Estrope   /lb
