SAN PEDRO CITY — A man was arrested in Angono town in Rizal province on Sunday for allegedly harassing a female college student by threatening to post a video of their sexual activity online.
Supt. Ruben Piquero, Angono police chief, said the suspect Aaron Jake Landoy, 19, from Binangonan, Rizal, was arrested in an entrapment operation around 1 a.m. Sunday at a convenience store in Barangay (village) San Roque, Angono.
Landoy said the suspect and the complainant, a 19-year-old student from Cainta, were supposed to meet there but the suspect did not know that the student had already contacted the police.
In a phone interview, Piquero said Landoy and the student met online through a dating app.
“He said he was just looking for someone to hook up with,” Piquero said. The student allegedly agreed to have sex but for a fee of P3,000.
The two had sex in an “apartelle” in Binangonan on May 26. In his interview with the police, Landoy admitted to taping it but insisted that the student had allowed it.
When the student was demanding for the money, Landoy refused to pay her and instead threatened to spread the sex video if she would not meet with him the next day.
Piquero said Landoy will be charged with a violation of the Anti-Photo and Video Voyeurism Act on Monday. /je
