Kaogma Festival

Residents celebrate the 439th Foundation Day of Camarines Sur province in the capital town of Pili. The festival features a cultural street dance competition, senior citizens’ night, a farmers’ day and a concert.

May 27 to 29

Pasayahan sa Lucena

The weeklong festivity that highlights the potential of Lucena City in Quezon province as an investment area. The festival started in 1987 to change the image of Quezon province as a haven of communist insurgency. Activities include a boodle fight, float competition and street dancing.

May 30

Manlambus Festival

A festival in Escalante City, Negros Occidental province, featuring the city’s rich cultural heritage. Escalante City was formerly called “Manlambus,” a Visayan term that means to strike with a club, since the city’s coastal waters were teeming with fish that could be caught with a wooden stick. The festival culminates with a street dancing competition.
