Motorists should brace for heavy traffic as road repairs were set on some major roads in Quezon City and Manila over the weekend, the Metro Manila Development Authority (MMDA) announced on Friday.
in an advisory, the MMDA said the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) would start the repairs from 11 p.m. on Friday, May 25, until Monday, May 28, on the following roads:
Southbound roads
– EDSA from Samson College to before P. Tuazon St. (2nd lane)
– EDSA Eugenio Lopez St. to Scout Borromeo (3rd lane from the sidewalk)
Northbound roads
– EDSA fronting Vertis North to Trinoma Mall (2ndlane)
– Quirino Highway near Mater Carmeli School (inner lane)
– España Boulevard going to Quiapo infront of Ramon Magsaysay High School (Manila)
– A. Bonifacio Avenue, Quezon City Mauban St. (inner lane)
– Congressional Avenue fronting Business Bank to Mindanao Ave. (3rd lane)
The MMDA said all affected roads would be fully passable by 5:00 a.m. on Monday.
Motorists were advised to avoid these roads and use alternate routes instead. /muf
