Man killed in North Cotabato grenade blast Wednesday night

KIDAPAWAN CITY, North Cotabato, Philippines—At least one person was killed and several others were wounded in a grenade explosion in Midsayap town in North Cotabato on Wednesday night.

Senior Supt. Cornelio Salinas, provincial police chief, said the grenade exploded in the house of Dina Madrigal in the village of Nalin at around 7:30 p.m.


The lone fatality was identified as Hilario Violator, 60.

Recovered from the blast site were the safety lever and pin of the fragmentation grenade.
