This early, newly-installed Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III has expressed readiness to relinquish his post anytime should majority of senators decide to replace him.
On Monday, Sotto was elected Senate President after his predecessor, Senator Aquilino “Koko” Pimentel III, voluntarily stepped down from his post.

“Oh yes,” the new Senate leader said when asked during the regular Kapihan sa Senado on Thursday if he was willing to be replaced anytime in his post.
“The leadership of the Senate lies in the trust and confidence of the members of the majority,” Sotto said.
“I’m ready. Ready to be replaced anytime. I’m willing to give it to anybody else who would be chosen by the members of the Senate,” he added.
Sotto was swept into power after 16 of 23 senators, including Pimentel, signed a resolution, electing him as the new Senate President. /muf
