NAGA CITY – Two persons died, while 11 others were injured in a five-vehicle smashup in Libmanan town, Camarines Sur province early morning Tuesday, police said.
Initial police investigation, said a silver Toyota Avanza tried to overtake, when it accidentally hit a Manila-bound Tripolds passenger bus.
Because of the impact, the driver of the bus lost control of the vehicle, which resulted in a smashup, involving a black Ford Everest, a Philtranco passenger bus and another closed truck along the Maharlika Highway in Barangay Mabini around 5:30 a.m.
Two persons died in the accident, while the injured passengers were brought to the nearest hospital for treatment, police added.
