Cebu Niños eye revenge vs Air21 in exhibition game today at Coliseum

/ 06:46 AM May 28, 2011

Game today (Cebu Coliseum)
6 p.m. – Air21 vs. MLKP-Cebu

CEBU’S best commercial squad will be looking for redemption today and what better way to do that than to beat a team from the PBA as the M. Lhuillier Kwarta Padala-Cebu Ninos take on the Air21 Express in an exhibition match at the Cebu Coliseum.

The Ninos are coming off a horrendous stint in their home leg of the Liga Pilipinas which saw them lose their last two matches to Mandaue including one for the coveted leg title. Now, they are looking to give the visiting Express a rude welcome as they gear up for the Mandaue leg of the Liga on June 8.

The Niños are also hoping to erase the memory of their last game against a PBA squad wherein they led by 20 against the Petron Blazer Boosters only to lose, 90-94. Cebu’s charge will once again hinge on veterans Stephen Padilla, Ian Saladaga, Nat Cruz, Felix Belano and young gun, Jayford Rodriguez.

The Express on the other hand, will have Josh Urbitztondo, Danny Seigle, Dorian Pena, Paul Artadi, Wynne Arboleda and Wesley Gonzales among others. It remains to be seen whether or not Joe Devance, their latest acquisition, will be able to play as the trade involving him and Jay-R Reyes has yet to be approved by PBA commissioner, Chito Salud.
