ZAMBOANGA CITY – The Abu Sayyaf had freed another kidnap victim on Monday.

Brig. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, the commander of the Joint Task Force Sulu, however, declined to name the released kidnap victim saying he could only share “generic” information for now.

He said the freed kidnap victim was now undergoing custodial debriefing at the TF Sulu headquarters and would be presented to President Duterte in Manila.

A source said the freed victim was Enrico Wee, who was kidnapped from his house in Barangay Kasalamatan in Jolo town on Valentine’s Day.

The source said Wee, an employee of the Department of Public Works and Highways, was handed over to Moro National Liberation Front (MNLF) commander Tahil Sali in Patikul town after his family paid ransom money of P500,000.
