A heated argument between two employees at a spa in Quezon City turned deadly after one of them stabbed the other to death on Saturday.
The Quezon City Police District (QCPD) identified the suspect as 26-year-old Marcelino Mabansag Jr. who escaped after the incident.
A report to Chief Supt. Joselito Esquivel, QCPD director, said that at 1:20 p.m., Mabansag argued with Ariel Libunao, 31, about work at Holiday Touch Spa on Del Monte Avenue in Barangay Siena, where they were both stay-in employees.
Mabansag was a massage therapist while Libunao served as the receptionist.
Investigation showed that Mabansag grabbed a kitchen knife and stabbed Libunao in the chest and abdomen.
Two female coworkers heard the commotion and saw Mabansag throwing the knife into a garbage bin before escaping.
Libunao asked for help from his colleagues who rushed him to Jose Reyes Memorial Medical Center where he was declared dead on arrival. —Jhesset O. Enano
