Reblocking of roads in QC, Manila on weekend set
Motorists are advised to avoid certain portions of major thoroughfares in the cities of Quezon and Manila which will undergo road reblocking and repair over the weekend.
In an advisory, the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) warned motorists to avoid the following routes in Quezon City from 11 p.m. on Friday to 5 a.m. on Monday: Along the Edsa southbound lane, vehicles should avoid the stretch from Arayat to P. Tuazon Streets; the outer lane of Visayas Avenue; and Eugenio Lopez Street.
Northbound vehicles in Quezon City should avoid T. Carreon Street to Pagkabuhay Road along Quirino Highway; Mayon to Mauban Streets along A. Bonifacio Avenue; Congressional Avenue to Mindanao Avenue; and Edsa fronting Vertis North to Trinoma mall.
In Manila, the affected roads include the stretch of Don Quijote Street to Lacson Avenue along España Boulevard. All roads will be fully passable by 5 a.m. on Monday, the MMDA said.—KRIXIA SUBINGSUBING
