Bomb explodes in North Cotabato construction site

MANILA, Philippines — An explosion occurred at a construction site in North Cotabato Tuesday evening, a military spokesman said Wednesday.

Acting Army spokesman Major Harold Cabunoc said that about 10 armed men attacked the construction site located along Malasila River, boundary of Tulunan and M’lang and used two rocked propelled grenade rounds.

He added that there were no reported casualties but the incident caused minimal damage on equipment.

A platoon from the 68th Infantry Battalion under First Lieutenant Nell Brian was immediately deployed to pursue the rebels, he also said.
