FDA issues advisory vs Stella Artois beer
The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) advised the public to refrain from buying or consuming the Stella Artois brand of beer because of possible glass contamination.
FDA Director General Nela Puno said the manufacturer of the Belgian beer was recalling thousands of 300-milliliter bottles of beer that may contain “small glass particles.”
Bottles with best before stamps of April 25 and 26, June 3, and Sept. 15 and 16 were being recalled.
The brand’s local distributor, Booze On-Line Inc., was implementing the recall.
Puno said those who had bought Stella Artois beer may e-mail the distributor at [email protected]. They may also direct questions to [email protected]. —Jovic Yee
