Manual counting delays canvassing at Makati polling center
The canvassing of votes at a polling center in Makati is expected to be finished on early Tuesday morning.
As of 10:30 p.m. on Monday, the canvassing of votes from 19 polling precincts at Nicanor Garcia Sr. Elementary School has not yet started.
All precincts have finished tallying the votes and are now processing the reports and canvass.
One election teller told INQUIRER.net that the delay was because the votes were being counted manually.
“We’re not used to manual election anymore,” the teller said. “We missed the process in 2016 [national] elections.”
