TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Voting for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan elections went on smoothly in Bohol after the polls opened at 7 a.m.
Hundreds of voters were already lined up as early as 6 a.m. at Cogon Elementary School, where the highest number of voters in Tagbilaran City was assigned.
Alberto Arcayena said he quickly found his name in the voters’ list.
But voters in Barangay Booy, Tagbilaran, had to wait to cast their voters.
Some polling precincts allowed five voters at a time to go inside the classroom to avoid congestion.
Cesar Pesquira, 46, had to wait 30 minutes for his turn. “It took so long but I had to wait because I wanted to vote,” he said. /je
