5 nabbed for breaking poll liquor ban in Marikina

Policemen have arrested three customers and two restaurant employees for violating the liquor ban in Marikina City.

According to a police report, members of the Marikina City Police at around 8:50 p.m. on Sunday arrested Jay Pangan, Ronald Sevilla, and Emmanuel Cabullo for drinking at an establishment along 6th St., Goodrich Village in Barangay Concepcion Uno.

Seized from them were three bottles of a popular brand of strong beer.

Authorities also arrested Jason Deloviar and Chona Redocto, both employees of the establishment, for selling liquor to the customers.

The offenders are now facing charges for violating Batas Pambansa 811 or the Omnibus Election Code, police said. /muf
