LOOK: Voters troop to precincts for Barangay polls

As early as 6:30 a.m. on Monday, voters started to flock at P. Burgos Elementary School in Sampaloc, Manila, for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections.

Manila Mayor Joseph Ejercito “Erap” Estrada is expected to vote between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m.

Precincts opened at exactly 7 a.m. and voting for the barangay and SK elections are set to end at 3 p.m.

Commission on Elections spokesperson James Jimenez reminded the public not to engage in vote buying.

He also confirmed that there were already 20 cases of election-related violations. /cbb
